Unholy trinity?
“Every man has three characters—that which he exhibits, that which he has, and that which he thinks he has.”

I’m not sure I quite understand..
Perhaps “that [character] which he exhibits” is the mask a person wears–which is not identical to his true character, and therefore is more or less hypocrisy; “that [character] which he thinks he has” could also be different from what he really is, and therefore is more or less self-deception.
Is there a way of making these three guys become friends again?
